Two Pennsylvania men are being held without bail in the Broome County Jail following a pursuit on Interstates 81 and 86 from Binghamton into the Village of Windsor.

New York State Police say they tried to stop a Geo Tracker on Fairview Avenue in the City of Binghamton for several traffic violations at 12:55 p.m. December 10 but the vehicle took off.

The vehicle traveled on several roadways and into the Village of Windsor.  At one point, Troopers say, the occupants threw auto exhaust parts into the path of police vehicles.

The Tracker was finally stopped after authorities used tire deflation devices on Main Street in Windsor. 23 year old Aaron Vogel of Hallstead and 20 year old Dylan Thompson of Montrose then reportedly fled on foot.

After a short chase, the pair was taken into custody.

Both are charged with felony reckless endangerment while Vogel is also charged with misdemeanor driving while impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a vehicle, resisting arrest and several traffic violations.

Thompson is also charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest.

Troopers were assisted during the pursuit by the Broome County Sheriff’s Department.
