Commissioner Tyree Blocker issued a statement following this week’s conviction of Eric Frein, thanking the Pike County District Attorney, the jury and the public for their words of encouragement following the attack that left Corporal Byron Dickson II dead and Trooper Alex Douglass gravely wounded.
With Frein convicted of first degree murder, the jury now enters the penalty phase and will decide if he deserves the death penalty.
