Pa. Man Sentenced for Traveling to Binghamton for Sex With Minors
A Pennsylvania man is to serve ten years in prison for traveling to the Binghamton area for the purpose of having sexual contact with two children.
Federal Prosecutors say 52-year-old James Obelkevich of Carbondale pleaded guilty to engaging in sexually explicit messages on an online social networking application from the summer of 2019 to spring of 2020, expressing his desire to have sexual contact with a 9-year-old girl and her 13-year-old sister.

Obelkevich said he traveled from Pennsylvania to the Binghamton March 11, 2020 with the intent of meeting with the children and the person he had been talking to, whom he thought was the mother of the girls.
