An Owego woman is accused of having heroin and drug paraphernalia in an apartment that was raided on Adaline Street.

Tioga County Sheriff’s officials say 27 year old Nichole Haines is charged with two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

Officials searched the apartment in the Village on November 24th and say they found powdered heroin, cash suspected to be drug proceeds, drug packaging materials and several hypodermic needles.

Haines was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Sheriff Gary Howard say the investigation began following information from concerned citizens reporting on the Sheriff’s Office tip line and he thanked residents for their reports.
