A man reportedly sustained minor injuries when the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a car and then struck a synagogue in Binghamton.

The vehicle was westbound on Riverside Drive when it veered across the eastbound lane, struck a parked car and then slammed into a wall at Beth David Synagogue.

Rabbi Zev Silber was sitting in a dentist's chair when he learned of the crash, which happened just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Silber and his wife examined the damage to a wall a short time after the incident. The building is located at 39 Riverside Drive. They expressed relief that there apparently had been no serious injuries as a result of the crash and the damage was relatively minor.

The driver of the truck was said to have experienced a medical issue before the crash. It was not known whether police issued any tickets.
