
Northeast Pennsylvania COVID Numbers Continue to Soar
Bradford County in Northeast Pennsylvania continues to be at a “substantial level of community transmissions” of the coronavirus in the latest weekly update while Susquehanna and Wayne Counties are listed as “moderate”.

Bradford, a county of around 60,000 residents just south of Tioga County, New York recorded 262 new cases over the week November 9-16 and 10 deaths. Bradford has a total of 1,403 people infected since the start of the pandemic and a total of 29 deaths. Compare that with Broome County with a population of roughly 190,000 people that saw approximately 390 new infections for the past week. Broome has a total of 4,279 cases and 112 deaths.
Susquehanna County, with a population of 40,500 going into the last census had 32 new cases over the week for a total of 491 and one new death for a total of 30. Wayne County, with a population in the 2010 census at 52,500 had 29 new cases for the week for a total of 351. The death toll for Wayne County stayed unchanged for another week at 12.
Pennsylvania reports a total of 269,613 cases of the coronavirus and there have been 9,325 lives lost in the Keystone State to the pandemic.
