The Binghamton Light the Night walk will take place October 2nd at NYSEG stadium, rain or shine.

Linda Salomons, long-time volunteer and mother of former child leukemia patient, Eric explains on the September 29th edition of The Southern Tier Close Up the walk is a vital fund raising source for research and resources to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.  Red balloons celebrate supporters. White balloons are carried by cancer survivors and gold balloons are in remembrance of those who have lost the battle.

Registration is from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. with the walk beginning at 6:30.
