Nichols Man Charged with Assault After Dispute

A Tioga County man faces charges following a dispute in the village of Nichols.

Authorities say 54-year-old Dale Babcock of H Babcock Road, Nichols, was arrested on Tuesday.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Babcock was charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

The charges resulted from a reported domestic incident.

Babcock was arraigned in Owego town court and released on his own recognizance. He was directed to appear in Nichols town court on September 4.
