Bob Joseph/ WNBF News [file][/caption]Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies say a Newark Valley man told they he ran away after authorities tried to pull him over since he didn’t have a driver’s license.

33 year old Jeffrey Hulbert is charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, driving without a license, displaying a forged inspection certificate and reckless driving.  He was also ticketed for 9 vehicle and traffic violations.

Authorities tried to stop a Ford Mustang on Route 17 West near Exit 72 in the City of Binghamton at 12:40 a.m. February 3 but the vehicle sped off.  A deputy deployed stop sticks on Airport Road and flattened a tire on the vehicle, disabling it.  There were no injuries.

Deputies say Hulbert was also wanted on several warrants in the Village of Johnson City and he was turned over to Village Police to address those issues.
