New Yorkers can now pop into their local convenience store and walk out with emergency contraception instead of having to go to a pharmacy to get it.

Cadence OTC, a Public Benefits consumer healthcare company, says it has taken a step toward making access to emergency contraception more readily available by making the Morning After Pill™ available in convenience stores across New York.

According to Cadence OTC, New York State faces challenges related to limited accessibility to healthcare services, especially emergency contraceptives. Numerous areas are classified as healthcare deserts, leaving millions of women without easy access to EC products with many women living in communities with no nearby drug stores offering over-the-counter emergency contraception.

Cadence OTC has partnered with convenience stores to provide the Morning After Pill™. With over 150,000 locations across the nation, including many in smaller towns and near college campuses, particularly in New York.

The Morning After Pill™ has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug. Furthermore, Cadence OTC says that its drug is being offered at a more affordable price compared to other leading brands.

Cadence OTC has formed an exclusive collaboration with Lil Drug Store Products, a prominent distributor of healthcare products to the convenience store sector. This partnership enables women to access the Morning After Pill™ at major convenience store chains nationwide, including those within New York State.
