New York to Allow Covid-19 Vaccinations for All Over 60 Years Old
The age limit for New Yorkers to be eligible to receive a Covid-19 vaccine has been lowered by five years.
Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced that New York is expanding vaccine eligibility to everyone over the age of 60. Appointments may be made across the state at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Cuomo also said public-facing government employees, non-profit workers and essential building service workers will be eligible to be vaccinated starting March 17.
All New York state sites will be allowed to vaccinate anyone who is eligible with the exception of pharmacies. They will be reserved to vaccinate teachers and those over 60.
New York residents may make an appointment at state-run vaccination sites by calling (833) 697-4829.
Appointments also may be made online using the state's "Am I Eligible" website by clicking HERE.
