New Jersey Man Arrested for Delaware County Burglary

A New Jersey man is accused of breaking into a home in the Village of Stamford at around 1 p.m. Saturday, August 26 and refusing to leave.

Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested 77 year old Albert Swan of Clifton on a felony burglary charge and misdemeanor criminal trespass.

Investigators say it appears Swan entered the home through a back window with intentions of taking items before being confronted by the homeowners.

Swan was released after posting $1,000 bail.
