Broome and Cortland Counties are each reporting another death due to the pandemic.

Broome November 3 reported 104 new cases with the death toll now going to 410.  The total number of cases in Broome County is reported at 25,313 with 618 active cases and 62 people in the hospital.

An update at 9:15 a.m. November 4 now reports 97 new cases, 652 active cases, 64 people hospitalized and yet another death, putting the death toll now at 411. As of November 4, Broome's total number of cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 25,422.

Broome County Executive Jason Garnar says of those hospitalized, some are in intensive care and on intubation and, he fears some could die.

Cortland County reported 22 additional cases and the death toll rising to 83. Cortland County reports a total of 6,466 cases, 143 active cases and 7 people in the hospital.

Tioga County’s weekly report shows from October 26 to November 2 there were 184 new cases and two deaths. National COVID tracking information puts Tioga’s total number of cases at 5,438 with 72 fatalities.

Chenango County reports 11 new cases for a total of four-thousand, 856, 86 deaths, 94 active cases and 5 people in the hospital.

Delaware reports 43 new cases since the last report November 1, 139 active cases and 7 hospitalizations. The death toll remains at 64.
