A downtown Binghamton spot that most recently was home to a restaurant that featured pizzas and burgers could be coming back to life this summer.

The Stone Fox at 15 Hawley Street closed its doors last December. The establishment had operated at the site just west of Binghamton City Hall for about four years.

On Friday, Yaron Kwelller said he has sold his interest in the former Stone Fox. He told WNBF News that he was extending "my heartfelt wishes for continued success and prosperity to the remaining shareholders as they carry forward."

Andrew Urso, who remains a partner in the ownership group that operated Stone Fox, said plans are being developed to launch a new establishment at the location.

Urso declined to comment on specifics about what may occur at the site in the future but he said the partners are "moving forward" on rebranding the place. He said he hopes the new business can open sometime this summer.

Before Stone Fox opened in 2020, the location had been occupied by Zona & Co. Grille and Parlor City Pub.
