More Arrests “Definitely Possible” in Apalachin Killing

Two men have been charged with murder but additional arrests could be coming in connection with the deadly home invasion shooting in Tioga County.

New York State Police investigators are tracking down more tips as they work to determine why 32-year-old Brian Argro was killed May 9 in the Apalachin home he rented.

Captain Scott Heggelke said more arrests are "definitely possible" in the case. He said troopers were sent to York, Pennsylvania as they follow what he called "solid leads."

The two suspects in custody - 46-year-old Michael McVicker and 40-year-old Curtis Cuttino - are from the York area.

Heggelke said "alert citizens" in New York and Pennsylvania have provided information that's proving to be useful in the investigation into what happened at 5 Dorothy Road.

Police have not released any more information about another person who was in the house when Argro was shot in the back. She was described as a "20-year-old female acquaintance" who was not harmed during the incident in the normally-quiet Tioga Terrace neighborhood.

Heggelke declined to comment on any evidence investigators have found that may be linked to the shooting.
