A short break from dangerous wind chill readings in the area is over.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning again for most of Central New York until 10 a.m. February 24.

The Northern Tier of Pennsylvania is under a Wind Chill Advisory also until 10 a.m. February 24.

The cold weather, following a bit of a thaw February 22, is being blamed for a few minor burst pipe issues in the region.

For people in the warning area, the National Weather Service says the winds gusting up to 30 miles an hour combined with dropping temperatures could make it possible for frostbite to set in 15 minutes or less of exposure to uncovered skin.

An advisory means the potential exists for dangerously cold wind chills that could result in frost bite in 30 minutes or less and hypothermia if proper precautions are not taken.
