Pennsylvania State Police are now releasing the name of the man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Susquehanna County May 4.

Authorities say 59 year old Gordon Shultz of Montrose died when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving on State Route 167 in Brooklyn Township at around 1:45 p.m.

The vehicle hit a parked car and a tree and caught fire with Shultz trapped inside.

Shultz was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, 25 year old Garrett Spear of Binghamton, was taken to Endlwess Mountains Hospital in Montrose with unspecified injuries.  His condition is not available.

The investigation is continuing.
