Monticello Woman Charged in Hancock Larceny and Burglary Cases
A Monticello, New York woman is charged with felony grand larceny and burglary in connection with two separate incidents in Delaware County last year.
Sheriff’s officials say 24-year-old Rebecca Allen is accused of stealing property worth over $1,000 from a person in Hancock in November. She’s also accused of unlawfully entering a home and causing damage in July.
Allen was arrested February 17 and charged with grand larceny and petit larceny for the November theft and criminal mischief and burglary for the July incident before appearing the next day to be charged with an additional grand larceny count and a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle resulting in the initial investigation into the July break-in.
She remains incarcerated at the Delaware County Jail. Bail was initially set at $25,000.
