Mirabito Buying Manley’s Mighty Mart Stores

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Binghamton-based Mirabito has announced a deal to acquire all of the Manley's Mighty Mart convenience stores.

Manley's operates 17 gasoline and shopping locations in Broome and Tompkins counties.

With the purchase of the Manley's properties, Mirabito will operate 74 convenience stores in upstate New York.

The transition from Manley's to Mirabito is to start on Monday.

Mirabito plans to initially operate the Manley's stores independently to maintain current programs and offerings.

Mirabito officials say they expect the changeover will be "seamless."

Jason Mirabito, the company's vice president of sales and marketing, says "just under 200" Manley full-time and part-time employees are part of the acquisition. He says that will bring Mirabito's workforce up to about 950 people.

Mirabito's corporate offices are in the MetroCenter in downtown Binghamton.
