8,700 half-gallon jugs of milk are being donated by the Dairy Farmers of America.

The give-away is being done in the Elementary School Parking lot where people will be directed through the line.

You don’t have to live in the district in order to get the free milk.

Meanwhile, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced April the launch of the Nourish New York Initiative to buy food and products from Upstate farms and direct it to food banks across New York State as farmers have had to dump milk and other product due to distribution and supply stream problems with the pandemic.

The State is also providing $25-million from the public health emergency fund for food banks and providers most impacted by COVID-19.

Philanthropies that would like to help the state’s food banks should contact Director of Non-Profits, Fran Barrett at COVIDPhilanthropies@exec.ny.gov.
