Law enforcement officials, veterinarians and others spent hours working to clear up the scene of a cattle truck, carrying 34 cows that tipped over on State Highway 8 in South New Berlin.

Chenango County Emergency Services officials say the crash happened shortly before midnight February 26th.

None of the bovines escaped the trailer that laid on its side for most of the morning.

There were no human injuries, but some of cattle had to be euthanized. The process closed a portion of the highway for several hours as the cattle were off-loaded and put on another truck.
