A man wearing a mask pulled a handgun on a Binghamton store clerk and ran off with money from the cash register.

Authorities say the robbery occurred at the Bodega convenience store at 56 Clinton Street in the First Ward.

According to Binghamton police, the heist was reported at 9:04 p.m. Monday.

The business employee said a man entered the store and displayed the gun. After taking the cash, he ran west on Clinton Street, heading toward Mygatt Street.

Investigators say the clerk was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black man; five feet, eight inches tall; thin build. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie or jacket with the hood over his head, black pants, black footwear with a dark-colored mask covering his face.
