Manslaughter Plea for Maine Death

A Town of Maine man will be spending two decades in jail for strangling his girlfriend to death in December 2014 following a long history of domestic violence.

34 year old Michael Fiocco has pleaded guilty to felony manslaughter in connection with the death of 34 year old Shannon Laskaris at the mobile home they shared.

The plea deal puts the prison sentence at 20 years instead of the maximum of 25 years to life in prison for the original murder charge.

Sentencing is set for October.
