A Bradford County man faces five years in prison after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter in a bar fight.

29 year old Emery Johnson of Towanda was said to be involved in the death of 61 year old Ronald Powell of Ulster in September of last year.

Pennsylvania State Police said Johnson and Powell argued outside Captain Jack’s Bar and Grill at 1:30 a.m. September 6.  The dispute became physical and Johnson reportedly punched Powell, who fell, hitting his head on the sidewalk.

Powell died the next day at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Sentencing is set for May in Bradford County Court.
