Man Wounded in Binghamton West Side Shooting

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A 24-year-old man was hospitalized in stable condition after he was shot on the West Side of Binghamton.

Authorities say Lakeith Harris was wounded in the abdomen in the incident, which was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were called to an apartment building at 46 North Street to investigate a possible shooting.

Detectives say Harris left the scene in a taxi. Police found the cab as it was en route to a hospital.

Investigators say the man suspected of shooting Harris is being sought. They did not release information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
