Pennsylvania State Police say a Monroeton man is in custody following a wet and wild struggle in Towanda Creek under the Monroeton Bridge at 2:34 p.m. July 10.

Troopers say they were patrolling the river trails following recent reports of drug activity when they found 30 year old Casey House fishing with no license displayed. He moved away from Troopers but then became irate when authorities asked him to show his fishing license and attempted to pat him down as he began to frantically reach into his pocket.

Authorities say House tried to flee into the water and engaged officers, wrestling two troopers in Towanda Creek. He had told them he had already been arrested once in the last few days and was not going to be arrested again when he ran into the water.

He was found to have drug paraphernalia and a folding knife.

House is charged with assault against law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia.
