Man Found Stuck in Snow Bank Outside a Binghamton Strip Club Charged With DWI

Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies say an Endicott man was arrested for drunk driving after an officer noticed a man trying to get his vehicle out of a snow bank at the entrance to Rocket Plaza, Binghamton May 8.

37 year old Tavys Welfel told the Deputy he was leaving Madame Oars’ adult exotic dance club when he drove into the snow bank.

Authorities say Welfel exhibited signs of intoxication and the Deputy said he could smell alcohol on the man’s breath.

Welfel was charged with DWI and refusal of a breath screening test.  He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Kirkwood Court at a later date.
