Man Attacked After Meeting Woman in Binghamton
Police say a man sustained head and facial injuries when he was attacked by two men after he met a woman in Binghamton.
Authorities say the assault on the city's North Side was reported around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators say the 21-year-old man was found lying on the sidewalk near 122 Bevier Street.
Detectives say the man had met the woman on Bevier Street. While the man was with her, he was attacked by two men.
The attackers and the woman left the area in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.
Police believe the woman and the suspects in the assault are acquaintances.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Investigators did not disclose his condition or indicate whether anything was taken in the incident.
