Man and Woman Charged in Ignition Interlock Case

A Sidney Center man is facing charges after Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they pulled him over in the Town of Franklin for allegedly going 72 miles an hour in a 55 mile and hour zone.

37 year old Scott Barnhart is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and driving without a required ignition interlock device.

Barnhart was released and ordered to appear in Town of Franklin Court.

Authorities say on further investigation, 38 year old Leanne Taggart of Sidney Center was arrested for loaning a vehicle without an interlock device to a person who was required to have one as well as facilitation aggravated unlicensed operation.

She was ordered to appear in Town of Franklin Court later in October.
