State Police say 25 year old Devin Coyle is charged with aggravated assault and was sent to the Bradford County Jail on $85,000 bail.
Troopers say Coyle reportedly became intoxicated and hit a 24 year old Monroeton woman at around 9:30 p.m. September 21 then grabbed a loaded shotgun and threatened to kill 26 year old Willie Thorpe of Columbia Crossroads.
Another friend wrestled the gun away from Coyle and turned it over to authorities.
Troopers saturated the area of Weston Road and apprehended Coyle, who was in possession of additional ammunition, a short time later.
Police say neither the woman nor Thorpe was hurt when the shotgun round was fired.
