Maine-Endwell at Vestal Friday

The Maine-Endwell Spartans travel to Dick Hoover Stadium Friday night to meet the Vestal Golden Bears in a battle of unbeaten teams.  Each team is 3-0 heading into Friday's kickoff.

The Spartans have moved back to Class A competition after winning three consecutive Class B New York State championships.  Winners of four straight titles and riding a current state record of 54 consecutive wins, Maine-Endwell captured the New York State Class A title in 2011.

The Golden Bears compete in Class A as well and own wins over Ithaca, Fayetteville-Manlius and Windsor.  They have outscored opponents 82-42. Maine-Endwell has defeated Corning, Chenango Forks and Susquehanna Valley and have outscored opponents by a 144 to 34 margin.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  Air time on News Radio 1290 WNBF is set for 6:50 PM.
