Authorities say 35-year-old Robert Cole of Binghamton was driving for Lyft and was on his way to pick up passengers at 4:11 a.m. April 25 when his vehicle crashed on Route 11 in the Town of Kirkwood.  Troopers say they found him in the car that was tipped on its left side.  He was not hurt.

Cole’s blood alcohol content was reportedly measured at .11% and authorities say they found he had some marijuana in his possession.

Cole is charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and a violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.  He was also ticketed for failure to keep right.
