New Traffic Pattern in Johnson City
As of today, April 8, 2026, the Village of Johnson City notes a new traffic pattern change at the intersection of Willow Street and Harvey Stenger Place (formerly Corliss Avenue).
That intersection has been converted from its current two-way stop configuration to an all-way (four-way) stop to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians.
Village Officials noted that the change was decided on after community concerns and an engineering review completed by the Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study, which determined that the intersection meets the applicable warrants for an all-way stop based on crash history and sight distance concerns.
