Broome County Sheriff/Vestal Police Department Charges & Arrests

Child Endangerment

Broome County Sheriff
30-year-old Brandon Smales from Binghamton was charged with Child Endangerment, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree, following an investigation into a domestic incident in the City of Binghamton.

Assault

Broome County Sheriff
Following an investigation into a domestic incident in the Town of Union, Markus Imes,  of Endicott, was charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree and Child Endangerment.

Criminal Possession

Broome County Sheriff
This week's report listed Gregory Potter of Johnson City charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.

Vestal Police
Tyson Haskins, age 45, from Deposit, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Unlicensed Operator, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Improper Plates for possessing Meth during a traffic stop.

Broome County Sheriff
33-year-old Damien Card of Johnson City was charged with Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Union.

Vestal Police
Amber Housen of Little Meadows, Pennsylvania, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, No Seatbelt, Moved from Lane Unsafely, and Unlicensed Operator for possessing Suboxone during a traffic stop.

Multiple Traffic Violations

Broome County Sheriff
Zachary Hamilton, age 26, of Binghamton, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense) and Operating a Motor Vehicle w/ BAC>.08 (1st Offense), along with multiple traffic violations following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the Village of Port Dickinson.

Vestal Police
After a motor vehicle accident, Eric Foster from Binghamton was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Moving from Lane Unsafely, Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree.
Vestal Police
Pedro Ramos from Vestal was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired-Drugs, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Moving From a Lane Unsafely, and Failing to Signal Lane Change after a traffic stop.

Grand Larceny

Broome County Sheriff
44-year-old James A. Cornish of Endicott was charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Union.

Multiple Charges

Vestal Police
Michael Beam, age 42, from Vestal, was arrested for Criminal Tampering in the 3rd Degree, Aggravated Family Offense and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree for hiding the victim’s phone and possessing Cocaine after a prior criminal conviction during a domestic incident.

Obstruction Of Government Administration

Vestal Police
Anthony Beam of Vestal was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Harassing a First Responder, struggling with officers while being handcuffed and hitting the officer in the arm who was investigating the domestic incident.

Falsifying Business Records

Vestal Police
50-year-old Heather Carey of Binghamton was arrested for two counts of Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree for switching price tags on merchandise at Wal-Mart on two dates.
