Lisle Man Tries to Leave Crash Scene Without One Tire
A Lisle man is charged with drunk driving after Broome County Sheriff’s officials say he crashed on Smith Hill Road in the Town of Lisle at 12:18am September 20th.
Deputies say 34-year-old Michael Quail is accused of driving off the shoulder of the road, hitting a pickup truck in a driveway, two mailboxes and a drainage pipe before backing into the road without the right front tire.
Without the tire, the car wasn’t able to get up the hill and rolled back into a yard and hit a cable guidewire which prevented it from rolling into a house.
Deputies say Quail exhibited numerous signs of intoxication by refused to take a breath test.
He’s charged with DWI, refusal of a breath screening, failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right and operating with an unsafe tire. He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Lisle Court at a later date.
