Binghamton police are looking for a suspect following a shooting incident in the city's First Ward.

Multiple gunshots were reported in the area of Emma Street and Belknap Avenue around 10:50 a.m. Thursday. There apparently were no injuries.

Detective Captain John Ryan said two men were detained by police and interviewed by investigators. They were released after questioning.

Ryan said those men were fired upon after a "verbal interaction" with another man.
