Help Guide Chenango’s Growth By Joining The Planning Committee
The Town of Chenango Town Board is looking for a few good people.
On January 9, 2025, the Town Board released an announcement seeking Chenango residents to serve on a new Comprehensive Planning Committee to assist with the further growth and development of the town.

The call is for up to 11 members to serve on the planning committee, with between 5 and 7 seats held by residents of the town who are not currently members of the Chenango Town Board or town employees.
Interested residents will be required to attend and participate in a minimum of one meeting per month over a 10-month period, with the possibility of additional meetings.
Planning Committee members will need to dedicate from four to six hours per month to committee work throughout the process.
Interested Town of Chenango residents will need to submit a letter of interest and a brief resume to the Town Clerk no later than 3 p.m, January 16, 2026, in person at 1529 Route 12, Binghamton, or email to the Town Clerk’s office, Adam.donahue@townofchenangony.gov.
According to the announcement, on January 21, 2026, the Town Board will review the submissions at its regularly scheduled meeting, followed by appointments to the Comprehensive Planning Committee made by the Town Board on February 4, 2026.
The Comprehensive Planning Committee will hold its kickoff meeting with the Town’s planning consultant, Colliers Engineering, in the third or fourth week of February.
