Johnson City Man is Accused of Threatening a Teen With a Hammer

A Johnson City man is being charged with felony weapon possession after allegedly threatening a teenager. 

Village police say 28 year old Christopher Schmitt is accused of going after a 15 year old boy with a hammer. 

Police have not reported any injury to the child, but, in addition to the felony weapon charge, Schmitt is charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Schmitt was sent to the Broome County Jail following his arraignment in Village Court.
