JC Man Accused of DWI, Driving Truck After It Overturned in Snow
Authorities say a man drove a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck away after the vehicle overturned once or twice on Route 12 in the town of Chenango.
According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old David Koshinski of Johnson City faces several charges in connection with Tuesday night's events.
Witnesses reported a pickup truck veered across Route 12 around 9:50 p.m. The vehicle went off the roadway and overturned one or two times near the Oak Hill Road intersection.
The snow-filled truck then was seen driving away, heading south on Route 12.
Deputies spotted the vehicle a short time later. Both of the truck's sideview mirrors were broken off and there was crush damage to the roof of the cab.
Kosinski was charged with driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely. He also was cited for operating a vehicle with no windshield and operating a vehicle with no left-side mirror. He was not seriously injured.
The truck was towed from Route 12.
