Johnson City, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana Residents Arrested for Drugs in Binghamton

A traffic stop on Hawley Street in the City of Binghamton has resulted in the arrests of five people, only one of them local, and the confiscation of a loaded handgun, methamphetamine, prescription medication, $2,100 in suspected drug sales proceeds and marijuana.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say the vehicle was stopped in the area of 8 Hawley Street January 27.

37-year old John Judy of Oneida, Tennessee, 51-year-old Stacy Evans of Paoli, Indiana, 20-year-old Sabbath Evans of Louisville, Kentucky, 24-year-old Hannah Werner of Johnson City and 37-year-old Carrie Lowe of Oneida, Tennessee are all charged with felony drug possession.

Judy is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one felony count of criminal possession of a weapon, one felony count of criminal possession of stolen property for a stolen firearm and misdemeanor criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Stacy Evans is charged with Felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.  He and Judy were sent to the Broome County Jail.

Sabbath Evans is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Werner is charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and Lowe is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Werner, Lowe and Sabbath Evans were released under the bail reform law.
