Jasmine Sina Named America East Rookie of the Week

Jasmine Sina has been named the America East Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.  The freshman point guard averaged 13.7 points over three games for the Bearcats during the past week.

Sina hit for 20 points against St. John's. That followed a 15 point game against Niagara.  She is eighth in America East scoring  with an overall 14.2 points per game average.  She leads America East in three-point field goals with 3.5 three's per contest.

Good news for Bearcats fans looking to the future as Sina  and Imani Watkins have swept Rookie of the Week honors over the first three weeks of the season.  Watkins captured the first two awards.

The Bearcats continue their five-game road trip on Saturday when they travel to New Jersey Institute of Technology for a Noon start.  The Bearcats will next play at the Events Center on Friday, December 19 as they host Siena at 7 PM.
