How To Be An Extra In Netflix Series Filming in Adirondacks

If you have ever wanted to see what it is like to be in a Netflix production, this could be your chance.

The upcoming Netflix adaptation of "The God of the Woods" is seeking additional background actors in Warren County as filming gets underway in the Adirondacks. Production is expected to take place throughout August and could continue into September.

The series is based on the bestselling 2024 novel by author Liz Moore. The mystery is set at an Adirondack summer camp in 1975 and centers on the disappearance of a young camper named Barbara Van Laar.

The book became one of the most talked-about novels of the year, and now Netflix is bringing the story to the screen.

Moore is helping write and produce the series alongside Golden Globe-nominated screenwriter Liz Hannah. The cast already includes Maya Hawke ("Stranger Things"), Kerry Condon, Ella Rubin, Damon Gupton, and several other familiar faces.

The casting team at Roman Candle Casting is currently searching for adults 18 and older to fill non-speaking background roles during filming in Bolton Landing.

If selected, you should be available for full days, which may include very early mornings and late nights.
