It turns out that New Jersey has the title of being the most obsessed when it comes to snatching up the deals in America, thanks to data from the researchers at VegasInsider. They took a look into 442 keywords related to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and all things discounts.

Then they  took into account every state's population per 100,000 to find out what state is the hotspot when it comes to hunting bargains. After crunching the numbers, New Jersey topped the charts with a total score of 128.6.

With an incredible 119,480 keyword searches on average per month, it is clear that New Jersey residents have a sharp eye for deals. The Garden State is a state full of bargain hunters!

Delaware came in close behind with an average search volume of 127.4. And here's the cherry on top - New York clinched the third spot with a solid score of 127.3. I guess that it is safe to say that the East Coast is the place to be if you are looking for all of the best top-notch deals.

Mississippi popped up as the least deal-obsessed state with a total score of just 76.0, Californians were really raking in the searches with 438,870 but because of their massive population, the Golden State only landed in the 16th spot in the rankings.

Most of us are looking for the best deals, so it's not a surprise to me that New York is right up there among the top deal-hunting states in the country. When it comes to getting the biggest bang for your buck and getting the best discounts, the Empire State isn't playing around.
