In the latest development regarding the attempted robbery at Visions Federal Credit Union in Endicott, the Endicott Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect.

Rasheed Crawford, a 40-year-old resident of Binghamton, has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The attempted robbery took place at the McKinley Avenue location on Wednesday, October 18, at around 12:39 p.m. The police were alerted to the situation and arrived quickly, but Crawford had already fled the scene on foot before they arrived.

After a thorough investigation, it was determined that no items were stolen during the incident and no visible weapon was involved. However, based on the evidence gathered, Crawford has been charged with Attempted Robbery in the Third Degree, which is a Class E Felony.

Currently, Crawford is being held at the Endicott Police Department and will soon be transported to the Broome County Centralized Arraignment Part for an arraignment hearing.

While an arrest has been made, the investigation into the attempted robbery is still ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information regarding the incident to come forward and contact the Endicott Police Department Detective Division at 607-785-3341.

The Endicott Police Department also expressed its gratitude for the assistance provided by the Broome County Sheriff's Office during the investigation.
