According to their findings, the average American misplaces something five times a month. Five times! Just think, that's the average, so half of us are even higher. We are misplacing our keys, phone, wallet, (and who knows what else) all in one month. In the Empire State, we misplace things an average of six times a month. We're officially scatterbrains but you aren't the only one.

They also asked them how long they spent looking for their lost items. Can you guess? Drumroll, please... on average, it takes us a mind-boggling 2 hours a week to rummage through our homes, offices, purses, and pockets in search of our missing belongings.

That's a lot of time wasted on hunting down socks, sunglasses, and all those other random things we manage to misplace. Especially since we could be using our valuable  time for more "important" things like scrolling through our social media accounts.

So, what's the deal with our notorious forgetfulness? Maybe it's just a universal human thing, or maybe you're like me with our hectic lives that leave little room for remembering where we put our stuff. Either way, it's safe to say that we could all use a little help in the organization department...Okay, a lot of help.
