
NFL Hall of Famer Harry Carson to Speak at Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Dinner
A football legend is headed to Binghamton this spring. The Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame has announced that Harry Carson, a former linebacker for the New York Giants, will be the featured speaker at the organization’s 11th Annual Induction Dinner. The event will take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Binghamton in downtown Binghamton.

Carson is one of the greatest players in Giants history. He played linebacker for the team from 1976 to 1988 and was the team captain for 10 seasons. During his impressive career, Carson earned:
Nine Pro Bowl selections, seven All-NFL honors, and a Super Bowl XXI championship with the Giants in 1986. His was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Giants’ Ring of Honor in 2010.
Celebrating Local Sports Excellence
The Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame was created to recognize people from the community who have made meaningful contributions to sports while also serving as positive role models. Each year, the organization gathers athletes, fans, and community members to celebrate those achievements during its annual induction dinner. Sports Broadcaster Roger Neel will be inducted at the dinner along with the rest of the Class of 2026.

The 11th Annual Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner is on Monday, May 4, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Binghamton. The evening schedule includes: 5:30 p.m. cash bar and 6:30 p.m. dinner and program. Tickets are $85 per person and are available through the event’s organizers.
