As you know, there are many chain restaurants in the Empire State. Whether you love them or hate them, they’re everywhere, even right here in our own backyard.

A new survey recently came out about the “Least Trusted” restaurant chains in America and the least trusted restaurant in the entire United States has a location on the Vestal Parkway. Can you guess what one it is?

Panera Bread topped the list of the “Least Trusted” restaurants in America. The same Panera Bread that is known for its endless soup, salad, and sandwich combos. According to Chain Store Age, 20% of American who were surveyed said that Panera is their least trusted restaurant brand.

Not too far behind Panera, a close runner-up in the "least trusted" list is another restaurant that we have on the Vestal Parkway. Chipotle. Chipotle got 18% of the vote. By the way, we haven't heard a reason why Panera Bread and Chipotle are on the list

I'm sure these two fine establishments would love to know why they are on the "least trusted" list but one restaurant is not taking this news laying down. Panera Bread may not have been given a reason but apparently they are doing something to try and change peoples minds.

On April 3rd, 2024, they announced that they are discontinuing many of their food items. This is a part of their menu overhaul and the "biggest menu transformation" in its nearly 40-year history.

Remember, opinions are like palates, everyone's got a different one. But as always, the proof is in the pudding, or in this case, the bread bowl.
