Join The Community For AJ’s Inspiring ‘Happy Life Day’

One year ago, June 14th, 2024, a young man from our area suffered a severe spinal cord injury in a swimming pool accident. You have seen PrestoStrong signs and fundraisers in our area over the past year.

AJ Presto is the young man that I’m talking about and he is a fighter and determined not to let the anniversary of his accident be such a hard day. Since that life-changing day, AJ has shown incredible determination and courage in his recovery journey.

His family has chosen many unique ways to “celebrate” his 18th birthday, high school graduation, and the anniversary of his accident, all happening in June. AJ wants to celebrate this milestone as his “Happy Life Day”-a day to reflect on how far he’s come and how strong the support around him truly is.

This uplifting event will take place on Saturday June 14th, at the 7Brew 1322 Front St, Binghamton location only from 5:30am-11pm. It’s no surprise that Keli Coghlan Oven and her amazing staff at 7Brew have joined with the Presto family and want to thank our community for their continued support. Can't make it on Saturday? Happy Life Day

They have a fun day planned for AJ. Together they want to say "thank you" to this amazing community for all the love and support you’ve given to him this past year. AJ will be there for part of the day with some family and friends.

There are lots of prizes and giveaways planned including the grand prize of free coffee for a month! $1 from every drink sold will be donated to AJ’s medical bills and ongoing recovery. This is a good time to think about what might be bringing you down.

I know if I think I’m having a hard day, bothered by my first world problems, I need to look no further than AJ’s outlook on life and determination to live life to the fullest in the face of true adversity to really keep things in perspective. Way to go AJ, you are an inspiration to so many.
