New York NFL Quarterbacks Make Big Money, But Is It Worth It?
If you’re a football fan in New York, you already know the NFL is a money machine. According to a recent rich list from Forbes, 13 of the 50 highest paid athletes in 2025 play in the NFL. Only the NBA has more players on that list. That brings up this question. Are NFL teams really getting their money’s worth from their quarterbacks?
A New Study Looks at Value, Not Just Fame
The team at InGame decided to dig into the numbers. Instead of focusing on headlines, they compared quarterback salaries to on field performance. They looked at passing touchdowns and passing yards during the regular season. The goal was simple. Find out which quarterbacks delivered the best performance for the money they were paid.
A Surprise Name Tops the List
The study found that Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos was the best value for money in the NFL this season. His performance far outpaced his salary, earning him a perfect index score of 100.

Right behind him was Drake Maye of the New England Patriots, followed by Shedeur Sanders of the Cleveland Browns. All three outperformed expectations while earning much less than the league’s biggest stars.
A Big Result for New York Giants Fans
Here’s the part New Yorkers will care most about. Jaxson Dart of the New York Giants ranked fifth overall on the value list, with an index score of 80.5. That means the Giants quarterback delivered strong production compared to his salary.
Expensive Stars Do Not Always Equal Best Results
The study also shows something most fans already knew. The highest paid quarterbacks are not always the most efficient. Big names around the league get the headlines, but younger and less expensive players often give their teams more production per dollar.
Why This Matters for New York Football Fans
For fans of both the Giants and the Buffalo Bills, this kind of data offers a different way to judge success. Wins matter, but smart spending matters too. When teams get strong quarterback play without massive contracts, it leaves more money to build the rest of the roster.
