Stanley 1913 Switchback Mug Lid Recall And What You Need To Know
What once seemed a rarety, is not just another day in the life of product recalls. Every week, we discover new recalls, including everything from automobile defects to food issues, and even baby items that you think should be safe.
Stanley 1913 Lid Recall
You may have one of the items involved in a recent voluntary recall. According to the Stanley website, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, there is a voluntary recall of the 12 and 16-ounce Stanley 1913 Switchback and 12, 16, and 20-ounce Trigger Action Travel Mugs.
This voluntary recall is because the lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use, which could pose a burn hazard. Stanley is advising owners of these products to immediately stop using them and to complete a registration for a free replacement lid.
